The Gatling Fire Power was born in September 2007 and started playin’ rock n’ roll around northeastern Italy after a year with a show based on eleven songs that in 2009 were recorded in their first cd called “Queen of Bullets”.
The band is composed of three guys whose only dream is to play their music 4 makin’ a livin’:
Piery, vocals and bass, born in 1978, worker in a naval dockyard
Jan, born 1976, drummer and delivery guy
Elia, born 1989, guitar player, student.
We met due to Elia’s will to start a new band, Jan and Piery were old friends and knew each other from childhood. When Elia heard about a bass player with some attitude he just picked up the phone and asked Piery to meet up in a local rock club. After a couple of weeks we contacted drummer Jan and the band was ready to get into rehearsals.
During the very first months we had an incredible empathy and become a band in life, not just in music, we have been hangin’ around together, enjoying each other presence in every moment of our days. The mixture of musical influences, from Jan’s thrash metal mood to Piery’s rawness and Elia’ just playn’ rock n’ roll as hard as he can, suggested us to define ourselves as a Street Speed Metal band
In a year’s work of composing songs, we have been influenced by classic bands like Motley Crue or Motorhead, and by modern young artists like Hardcore Superstar.
In February 2009 we have been chosen by VirginRadioItaly, together with 7 other bands between Italian new artists, to perform an acoustic session in Piazza del Duomo, Milan. The will to perform far from our area is so strong, and we are workin’ hard every day to make that happen.
The album “Queen of Bullets” is an auto produced LP recorded at Angel’s Wings Studio in Varmo (UD), ITALY, mixed and mastered by Nico Odorico and Mattia Sartori. Band photos inside cd booklet.
